계칩은, 동면(冬眠)하던 벌레가 움직이기 시작한다는
의미가 있어요.
따뜻한 봄의 기운을 느끼고 땅 속에 웅크리고 있는 벌레가
땅 밖으로 나오는 시기이지요.
나무들의 꽃봉오리가 조금씩 터지면서
마치 봄을 기다리고 있었다는 듯 예쁜 꽃을 피우고
잎을 틔워내고 있어요.
스이카텐만구(水火天満宮)의 아세비의 꽃도 피어 있었어요.
아세비(馬酔木)는 한자가 가지고 있는 뜻 그대로
말이 먹으면 유독성분이 있어,
신경을 마비시키고 취한 것처럼 된다고 해요.
겉모습으로는 은방울꽃과 닮은 귀엽고 예쁜 꽃으로,
바람에 흔들리며 피어나는 모습은
정말로 사랑스러워요.
